It is with broken hearts and much love that we mourn the sudden passing of Lisa Diane Jordan of Rowlett, Texas on August 6th, 2023, at the age of 57 following a tragic auto pedestrian accident in downtown Dallas.
To know Lisa was to love her and we already feel the sting of her earthly absence. Lisa’s smile lit up every room she entered and her witty personality brought laughter to any social gathering she attended. She saw the beauty in everything around her and made it her lifelong duty to help others feel as beautiful as she knew they inherently were.
Lisa was born on September 6th, 1965 in Tyler, Texas to John and Kathryn Wallis. She grew up in Houston, Texas where she graduated from Jersey Village High School. Following high school, Lisa went on to earn a Bachelor of Science Degree in Interior Design from Stephen F. Austin State University where she was a member of Sigma Kappa Sorority. She later moved to Dallas where she met and married her best friend and fellow artist, Steven Jordan. Together, Lisa and Steve produced their greatest work of art, their beautiful daughter Savannah Nicole Jordan. Lisa was an attentive wife and mother who was happiest in the presence of her family. When she wasn’t busy caring for her own family, she could be found doting on the skin of many loyal clients that she came to know and love throughout her 22 year career as an esthetician.
Lisa was an avid collector of vintage western wear, a passionate lover of birds and butterflies, a cultivator of native Texas plants and flowers, a voracious reader, a non-judgmental fellow human, and a faithful follower of Jesus Christ. In short, she was perfect.
Lisa is forever missed by her husband Steve and their daughter, Savannah; her father John Wallis and his wife, Debbie; her mother Kathy Hood; her brother Steven Kinzer; her sister Heather Wallis Albrecht (Luke); her father-in-law Duane Jordan; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her sister Hillary Wallis Zapata; her grandparents Jack and Sara Wallis and Bryan and Mary LaNelle Kyger; and her mother-in-law Sharyn Jordan.
A celebration of Lisa’s life will be held on Thursday, August 17th at 2:00 p.m. at Moore Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, TX 76012. In keeping with Lisa’s love of vintage western wear, we invite guests to dress in western chic attire for the celebration.
Flowers are welcomed, and other memorial donations may be sent to Rogers Wildlife Rehabilitation https://www.rogerswildlife.org/how-to-help.php#donations in Lisa’s honor.
We wish to thank everyone who was a friend to Lisa as well as the caring individuals who tried to help her at the scene of this most tragic accident. We are forever grateful for the impact you made on her life. May God bless you and keep you, dearest Lisa!
