Lester Charles Buckner of Canton Texas, passed away on Wednesday July 9, 2014 at the age of 86. Born in Akron Ohio on March 21, 1928, he was the beloved husband of Ruby Doss (March 27, 2001) and late Gilda Sanders (May 23, 1948). Retired machinist for Menasco, he loved to garden and spend time with his family. Lester is survived by his children Bruce Bucker (Donna) and Jane Rogers (James), grandchildren Mark Buckner, Leslie Thomas, Tiffany Anderson, and Tyler Scallorn, great-grandchildren Noah, Nadini, Eli and Naveen Thomas, Jude Anderson, Alaina and Jessica Buckner, and sisters Jean Jones and Wilda Vanderpoole. Friends and family may pay respects at Moore Funeral Home on Sunday July 13, 2014 from 3 to 5 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday July 14, 2014 in the Moore Funeral Home Chapel at 10 a.m.
