Leanne Therese Townsend

Leanne Townsend, 31, passed away on July 14, 2012 in her home in Arlington, Texas. A memorial service to honor her life will be held Saturday July 21 at 10AM at St. Barnabas United Methodist Church. The church is located at 5011 W. Pleasant Ridge Rd., Arlington, TX 76016.

Leanne was born October 26, 1980 in Englewood, New Jersey, the second child of Richard and Jolianne Tomeo. Although she was born in New Jersey, Leanne spent most of her youth growing up in Texas. She attended The Colony High School, participating in band and Color Guard. After high school Leanne's pursuits became wide and varied - proficient in numbers, she worked her way to an accounting degree from Texas Women's University; with a deep love for animals she spent years caring for them as a veterinary assistant; wanting to help people with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder she worked to become a certified yoga instructor.

Leanne had a very passionate soul and her greatest passion was her two boys Austin and Carter. It was never too late to read a bedtime story. There were never too many hugs and kisses goodnight. She will be sorely missed. We take comfort in knowing her soul is at peace and she is with the Lord.

She leaves behind her two precious sons, her husband Taylor, her sister Jonne, her father Richard, her stepmother Sandy, her grandmother Mary, aunts, uncles, cousins and countless other friends whose lives she touched along the way.
