She was the daughter Truman and Cleo Moseley and loving wife of the late Robert "Bob" Shackelford. She was an avid reader, loved and adored her furbaby Bo, her lifelong best friend, Jean Washam, and her family. Laura had the strong fighting spirit of a pitbull, yet possessed a loving heart. She faced so many obstacles throughout her life, yet she succeeded in winning most of the battles she fought, until she lost her last hard-fought battle to end stage liver disease.
She was the mother of four boys, Gregory (Donna) Stephens, Douglas (Sara) Stephens, Matthew (Kim) Stephens, Jeffrey (Susie) Stephens; grandmother and great-grandmother to many, and was referred to as "Nanny Jane." She will be missed by many.
Laura was predeceased by parents, Truman and Cleo; her husband, Bob Shackelford; and her youngest son, Jeffrey Stephens.
