Sue was born in Dallas on December 14th, 1933 the daughter of Fred and Myrtle Harmer. Raised in Dallas she graduated from Forest Avenue High School in 1951 and soon married.
Raising her young family in Arlington Texas she later married Carl Shepherd and both became faithful members of First Baptist Church. Sue sang in both the adult choir and senior adult choir. She participated in local mission work and later served as a leader for the senior Sunday School class.
Her working career consisted of more than 40 years in a sales support role at Continental Emsco; an oil and gas supply business in Dallas.
Sue loved fishing, vacationing to Colorado and following her local sports teams. On fall Sunday afternoons with the windows open, Sue could be “heard” helping the Cowboys score touchdowns!
After the death of her husband Carl, she later married Charles Fuller, and moved to Dallas. For the last 10 years of Charles’ life, they traveled internationally, continued to participate in local church activities and spent time with family and friends.
Those who knew Sue found her always cheerful and full of life. Whether recruiting others to join the senior adult choir or making others feel welcomed in Sunday School, Sue had a desire for shared experiences. She loved the Lord Jesus Christ and remained committed to living with a deep sense of joy and gratitude.
Even in the last few years battling memory loss, staff at her residence expressed their joy in caring for Sue and how she lifted everyone’s spirits with her smile and friendship.
God blessed Sue in the service of his kingdom. She will be missed here. She is being welcomed in heaven.
She is survived by her children, Deborah Gale and Mark Gale. And step children, Sherry Knight and Gary Shepherd.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 19th at Moore Memorial Gardens at 1219 N. Davis Drive, Arlington, Texas. Access to a LIVE STREAM of the service will be linked to Sue Fuller’s profile on the website for Moore Funeral Home Arlington Texas.
In lieu of flowers, a donation in Sue’s memory can be sent to MissionArlington.org.
