Beloved wife, mother, daughter, aunt, friend and doting grandmother ANNA MARIA Ky Thi Nguyen passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones at 9pm on Sunday, September 17, 2023 in Cedar Hill, Texas. Born in Thakhek, Laos on January 1, 1944 to Thi Van Nguyen and Nhai Thi Vu, she was the youngest of six children. She returned to Vietnam in 1958 where she met and fell in love with the love of her life. She married Nam Duy Hoang December 14, 1969 and had five children. Hoang Hoang her second son and her only daughter (fourth child) Quynh Hoa Hoang died shortly after birth. In 1978 like many others, she fled Vietnam with her husband and two sons while pregnant with her fifth child. In 1979, the family of 5 now, arrived and settled in Arlington, Texas, where she raised her three boys while working as a seamstress. She devoted her life to her family and the Vietnamese Catholic community in the greater Arlington area. In giving back to her community, she helped sponsor over 30 individuals from Vietnam to America. Most of whom lived in our home temporarily until they got acclimated to this country. While oftentimes debilitating, her condition never prevented her from enjoying her favorite activities, spending time at church, in the company of family and friends, dancing and singing. She led a diligent life and lived it to the fullest despite chronic illness. She is survived by her only surviving sibling, Phu Van Nguyen who still resides in Vietnam, her loving husband of 54 years, the pride of her life her sons, Manh Duy Hoang, Thien Duy Hoang and Long Duy Hoang their spouses Thao Vu, Jeannine Koay Hoang and Michelle Huynh and her eleven grandchildren Ava, Aidan, Leah, Avery, Leonides, Sophie, Chloe, Holden, Liam, Elias and Grace.
