Kenneth Ray Brewer

He was born to the late Garra and Myrtle Brewer on April 22, 1942 in Weaver, Texas. After leaving High School, Ken enlisted and served in the U.S. Navy. While in the Navy, Ken married the love of his life, Karron Powell, and they lived together in the Dallas Metroplex throughout their marriage.

Ken’s passion was his family. He considered his role as husband, father, father-in-law, and grandfather to be his priority in life. He and Karron were devoted to one another in marriage for 52 years. During this time, they celebrated the birth of three children and mourned together at the loss of their infant son, Kyle.

Ken was an active member of Lakeside Church of Christ and enjoyed his role as greeter…his smile brightened everyone’s day.

He is survived by son Kevin Brewer and wife Kay of Grapevine and daughter Kellie DeFratus and husband Gary of Southlake. He is also survived by four grandchildren: Brad, Kara, Lindsey and Krysta and his beloved dog, Kooper.

Visitation and Funeral will be held at Moore Funeral Home on Bowen Rd. in Arlington, Texas at the times provided below.

Burial will be held at 3:00pm in Weaver, Texas at Weaver Cemetery.

Services – Friday, December 20, 2013 at 10:00 am
