Kathy was a wonderful person. She had always a kind smile in her face. She was a caring, happy and humble person. It was a honor to have her as our manager. It is so sad to hear this deplorable news and I miss her.  My deep condolence to her family and friends.

I am sorry to hear about Kathy. She was my boss at Air Liquide in NJ for a year or so before she left for Texas. She was the best. Infact she made a huge impact in my life. I went from being in the lab to engineering because of her. She was someone who I trusted with anything and someone who supported me in my career growth. I aimed to be like her. I recently got a job at ExxonMobil as Analyzer Engineer and wanted to reach out to her to tell her I made it! I went to her linkedin page and eventually made it to this website. I was heartbroken to hear what happened. I want to let her family know that she made an impact on people's lives for the better and that her aura still lives on with the people who she mentored or touched. I wanted to thank her for believing in me, and encouraging me for if I did not have that push from Kathy, I don't know if I would have made it this far. I'm sorry for your loss and I'm sorry that I was too late.

Kathy was my "big sister" in our Kappa Delta sorority.  She was so soft spoken and gentle and a very hard worker!  I read a Danielle Steele novel aloud to her and my real sister Sandy chapter by chapter as a study break each night. Sometimes a chapter would end at a very exciting spot and I would want to read one more chapter but Kathy would be so disciplined and say nope, save it for tomorrow.  I am sorry I lost touch with her but I have thought about her sooo many times over the years.  I wish I could see her smile and hear her gentle laugh one more time.


Since I got to see Kathy every six weeks for about 2 hours for the last 5 years we had the best conversations. We talked about our fur babies and our kids. She talked about her son and wife moving to England and when she was going to see them. 
She also always had the cutest manicure which she always showed me. She said it was her way of having fun. I miss you already Kathy

My prayers are with your family in your time of sorrow.  Kathy and I worked together in Charleston, SC at the Rhodia Chemical Plant. She was a smart, kind,  gentle spirited lady, who also had a good sense of humor.  Just a few weeks before the tragic day of her death, I messaged her via LinkedIn to see how she was doing.  Her reply was that she was looking forward to retirement. She asked, "how about you".  My reply was that I, too, was looking forward to retirement.  Peace and Love.

I know Kathryn as an engaging friendly colleague. It is a tragedy that she lost her life. My condolences to the family and friends on the loss of their beloved Kathy.

Kathy will truly be missed, many laughs were shared in our corner of the office. We were often the last two in the office finishing a project. My dear friend Kathy, I can’t believe you’ve been taken from us in such a tragic manner and way too early. We’ve been friends for over 40 years. When you left this earth to be an Angel, you took a piece of my heart with you. You are truly one of the kindest, warmest, giving and intelligent people I know. Although our lives, families, careers have limited the number of times we were able to physically see each other over the last few decades, our friendship never diminished. I have so many wonderful memories of us when we were just a couple of young female engineers. Although we didn’t know it at the time, our lives were very carefree then. I remember us being the Mutt and Jeff of the Tech Center, except we were known as short and tall Kathy’s. We had our challenges at work but we also played softball together, we read dirty limericks in my office at lunchtime, we drove around in your first sport’s car, we saw Tom Jones and couldn’t believe how crazy those ‘older women’ acted. The list goes on…Then our husbands came into the picture and more memories were created. And then we both had sons and our lives took on a greater meaning. Through these tears I cry now, I can’t help but smile for the way you touched our lives. You are and always will be loved. I know that Chuck and your family will continue to be strong as you have made a lasting impression on them and will continue to guide them from heaven.  Your family has our deepest sympathies. We will miss you but we all will carry you in our hearts forever.

I had the honor of sharing the hallway between our offices at SACHEM.  We chatted daily about camping, family and the future.  She will be truly missed.  Her love for her family was so special. This woman was my mentor, she continually paved the way for female chemical engineers and was the best boss woman ever.  I'm speechless..she was so proud of her doting husband,  2 boys, and her 2 grandbabies. She is the woman I aspire to be. When my grandmother passed away, she was the most graceful and understanding. To her family, I know she is missed. To her subordinates whom she challenged and groomed, we are left empy. The world needs more Kathy's.
