KATHY was like a second mom to me she always would listen and never judge. She was super intelligent and could be found laughing at her own jokes that you didnt understand. She was there for anyone that needed help or guidance and would always have great advice. She was a very happy person who enjoyed her life and always had a story to tell about it. I have many memories of Kathy's stories about her life and her work at the airport. I will always remember her as my second mom.

The last 5 years I got to spend a lot of time with Kathy. Most of that was spent on the porch, could've be anytime from in the middle of the night or early in the morning, talking about anything and everything. She was down to earth, laid-back, and she never sweat the small stuff. I've always envied her when she would tell me about all the places she's been, the things she's seen, and the people she met. One of the things that impressed me the most was how she would hear someone's accent, and know not only what country they were from, but what region or even what tribe they we're from. She was very intelligent and could relate to anything we would talk about no matter how random. I'm going to miss those conversations, but I'll never forget them.

Speaking from the heart was never one of my strengths. I hope she knows how thankful I was that my kids had a Gigi like her. I know Cooper and Mason would say the same. Always reading  books to them, teaching them colors and numbers, and just being there for them, even on her bad days there was nothing she wouldn't do for them.

Kathy was a beautiful soul. She taught me a lot about myself and the world around us. I have so many wonderful memories. You seemed to be in every major memory of my early life.  You are truly missed, but I know you and my mom are dancing in heaven and rooting for us. . As my mom always said “ it’s not about how you survived the storm, but how you danced in the rain”... keep dancing !!! Love you always. 

Kathy's daughter Sydney is the greatest, most loyal and honest friend I have, and I see so much in her that I knew in Kathy. Growing up, Kathy was another mom to me. She kissed my bobos, tickled me to death, and believed in me when I didn't see anything to believe in. She had a way of speaking the truth that made me feel as encouraged as I did silly for not having seen it myself.  She would say, "Of course I love you," as if there were ever a millisecond that it might not be true. Honesty, strength, intelligence, and kindness are what I think of when I think of Kathy, and the legacy that she leaves behind in her daughter, Sydney is what I continue to cherish every single day.

Patience, kindness, strength, wit, grace and love were only a little of what Kathy was made of and we will miss her dearly.

Kathy was such a special person to not only me, but everyone that knew her. She was my second mom and at the same time a good friend. I could tell her anything and I never felt judged by her. She had the special ability of showing that she cared but never pushing her own agenda on me while at the same time guiding me in a better direction. She led by subtle example. When I think of Kathy I always felt a sense of comfort. Even now as I write this I’m taken over by a sense of calm in this trying time. She could make anyone feel better/ calm anyone down. This was a much needed talent that fit in perfectly with her household. In my opinion, she was the Yin to Alan’s Yang. And she was the perfect mother for Sydney. I loved spending time with her when I’d visit Sydney’s house as a kid. When I was a child she always treated me as an equal and never wrote off what I was saying as something less important because I was merely a kid. She played an integral part in shaping me as the person I am today. She was there for me through all the hardships of my adolescence and again, I never felt judged for my behavior. I loved hearing stories about her work life or the adventures she had before Sydney was born. She was so funny, smart, and patient. I could go on and on about Kathy, but I’ll finish with what I observed regarding her family. Kathy was so proud of Sydney. She was so impressed that her daughter became such a good mother. She loved Alan so much and always spoke highly of him when he wasn’t in the room. She was so very excited when her grandchildren were born. And even when she didn’t feel well, she took the time to play with Cooper and Mason. All four of them were the light of her life, and I truly feel like she lived to see everything she wanted to happen for Sydney. If I were to ask her now if she felt like she missed out on anything, her answer would be no. I think Kathy left us feeling whole and will forever feel at peace with the life she led. I love you Kathy. 

My mom was the best mom I could ever ask for, not only that she was also my best friend.  she was the one I went to anytime I wanted talk about something, and bless her heart she always listened to me. She was the smartest, prettiest, and strongest person I  have ever met. I am very lucky that she was my mom. She will never be forgotten, and she will always be with me.  I miss her, and love her more then I can say. Her grandsons where lucky to have such an amazing GiGi that took her time to sit down and play with them. She read to Cooper for hours, and would play blocks with Mason forever it seems.  Cooper says that she is the best story teller in the world.  They will miss her, but they know she is always with them.  She will always be in our hearts,  

I consider myself very lucky to have had Kathy in my life even for such a short time.  We  loved the power we had when we were around Cooper and Mason at the same time, we were "The Grandmothers"  and you didn't always get the thrill of getting both at once.  We both loved spoiling them and letting our kids deal with it when we were done.  We agreed  it was the best revenge.   

I always enjoyed when we'd have time to hang out and talk.  She knew as much about Philly as I do, and more about everything else.  She had the best sense of humor , she was calm and way more patient than I could ever hope to be, and nothing ever rattled her, she'd just shrug her shoulders and say , "Oh well, what are ya gonna do?"  She was kind, always reminded me we were family, and we bonded immediately .  There is a large hole in our family now and the empty space will be felt for a long time.  I know she's watching over us all, and as I told Cooper, who was so close to his Gigi,  we can talk to her anytime, she's always there and always listening.  And I'm sure alot of the time she's laughing and making her sarcastic comments that she has become known for.    I hope you're  at peace  Kathy, and if you were right and there's no afterlife,  then you didn't get this message.  Oh well, what are you gonna do?  

Kathy was my half sister, we shared the same father. I met her when I was 15. Honestly as a 15 year old I didn't quite get her but into my twenties she turned into my best friend and my favorite person. I loved her so much. She was the most amazing, unique, brilliant person I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. I wish we had had more than 13 years together. I will never forget her and will honor her memory always.  I'll get around to reading Wuthering Heights, too, promise. 

I don't like many people, but she was one of my favorites. When my family met hers for the first time, I was instructed to be on my best behavior. Evidently, noone gave her the same restriction. She was warm, kind, and always had something funny to say hiding behind a smirk.

I was always amazed by how she could remain positive and upbeat no matter what was going on around her. It's not everyday you meet someone who has an opinion on the boxer rebellion; I can't remember how we even got onto the subject. Every conversation with her was an adventure. A very sarcastic adventure.
