June Carolyn Weddle Baker was born June 4, 1934 to James Clark Weddle, Sr and Daisy Dee Weddle and passed on to the Lord March 29, 2023. She is preceded in death by her parents; sisters Irma Dee Grounds, Mercedes McCaleb, Hattye Jeanette Kuntz, brothers James Clark Weddle Jr, Jack Harrison Weddle, and John Paul Weddle. She is also preceded in death by son Rodney Lynn Watson, daughter Carole Rae Watson, and daughter in law Phyllis Watson.
June is survived by husband Harold Baker, and children Bonnie King and her husband Kenneth, Jimmy Watson, Sheila Dean and her husband Gary, Sharon Sciabbrassi and her husband Andrew, David Baker and his wife Rhonda. Grandchildren Tonya, Loretta, Christina, Brian, Randy, Matthew, Paul, Sophia, Shawn, and Clayton and numerous great-grandchildren.
June was an employee of the United States Postal Service in Arlington, Texas whereby she held many positions. She finished her career at the Post Office being Post Master in Cresson, Texas.
June was a member of the Eastern Star Chapter #249 in Arlington, Texas. Held numerous positions and did lots of volunteer work.
June was a member of the Daughters of the Nile, Rithmah Temple Ft. Worth serving in many capacities, the highest being Queen of the Ft. Worth Temple. She participated in the sewing club (Director), belly dancing, and drum corp. She also authored a book on how to travel to all the Temple’s in the state of Texas.
June authored several books of poetry and prayer books, and loved doing it.
June loved to square dance, and by the way, this is how she met the love of her life, Harold. Footnote, back then Harold had hair.
When June and Harold moved into the Masonic Retirement Center, June printed the Center Church Bulletin for Sunday services. She was the director and costume designer for the Christmas Pageant.
June was a strong woman in her faith and family. She loved the Lord and her children with all the love God blessed her with.
A visitation for June will be held Tuesday, April 4, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Moore Funeral Home, 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, TX 76012. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, April 4, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, TX 76012. A committal service will occur Tuesday, April 4, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at Moore Memorial Gardens, 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, TX 76012.
