Funeral: 10 a.m. Monday at Moore Funeral Home-Bowen Road Chapel. Interment: 2:30 p.m. in Coon Creek Cemetery, Bosque County. Visitation: The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Joy was born Nov. 19, 1928, in Littlefield, the daughter of John and Etta Ritchie. Joy was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She retired from Southwestern Bell after 28 years of devoted service.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Erma Joy King; daughter-in-law, Jane Fowler; and great-grandson, Eric Carter.
Survivors: Husband, Ermon "Cotton" Fowler; son, Dennis Fowler and wife, Bobbie; daughter, Cathy Shannon and husband, Lynn; son, Ken Fowler and wife, Linda; son-in-law, Freddy King; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
