Jose “Superstar” Pombo, 51, passed away in his sleep on May 26, 2015. A memorial mass will be held in his honor on Saturday, June 6 at 11:00am. It will be held at St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Fort Worth.
He lived and died peacefully.
Jose was born in Barranquilla, Colombia, October 17, 1963. He was especially kind, the Most Outgoing and a wonderfully creative thinker. He loved to sing and dance and socialize so much that he had a few BIG Bashes every year. He loved God, his family and his friends with a pure and genuine heart. He had a great admiration and respect for the Arlington, Fort Worth, and Dallas Fire and Police Departments. God bless America. He loved the weather, stars, dining, and Diet Coke.He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Mercedes Perez; and his sister, Maria Pombo.
He is survived by his loving parents, Dr. Joaquin and Mrs. Yadira Pombo; beloved brother and sister-in-law, Anibal and Alisa Pombo; Nephews Ryan and Julie Pombo, Jake Pombo, and Mathew Pombo; sister Angela “Angie” Pombo; Katie Flippo; as well as his extended family and friends.
