Johnny was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in Germany and in Vietnam. He was a master police officer with over 30 years of combined law enforcement service in area police departments. He was a police officer with Benbrook Police Department, Haltom City Police Department and retired from Kennedale Police Department criminal investigation division in May 2009 after 24 years of service there.
