John Walter Love went to be with his wife Carolyn and son David on July 6, 2020. John was born December 31, 1937 in Athens Texas to Walter and Modena (Miller) Love. Raised in Crandall Texas, John was the 4th generation of the Love family to call Texas home. He was a graduate of Adamson High School in Dallas where he met the love of his life, Carolyn Louise Jamison. Living in Arlington, John and Carolyn raised four children: Stephen, David, John T, and Mary Beth. The loss of their son, David at a young age was nearly unbearable for John and Carolyn but they weathered the storm together to see the birth of their first grandchild, Amanda. The coming of grandchildren brought new life into their hearts and souls and John (Papa) and Carolyn (Memama) found great joy in being grandparents. Unfortunately, in 1996 John lost his cherished wife to cancer. His family reports before Carylon lost her battle, he devoted every waking minute to Carolyn’s care in a very loving and tender manner. John was indeed a devoted man to his family and was always proud of every event and accomplishment of his children and grandchildren. John loved animals and considered his dogs his children and best friends. He loved fishing, football, and any sport in which his children and grandchildren played.
