John William Dennehy, Jr. went to be with his Lord and Savior at 8:10am on Friday, November 22, 2024, surrounded by his daughters and son-in-law. He fought hard until the end and wanted to go home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. A lifelong resident of Arlington, John was born on August 5, 1934, and married his high school sweetheart Frankie Harrison on March 5, 1954. As of her passing in 2015, they had been married 61 years.
John was a lifelong member of Arlington Community Church. His passions were the 2023 World Champions Texas Rangers, bowling, and above all else his family. His greatest joys were his four grandchildren and six great grandchildren. John gained many friends throughout his life who were drawn to his humor, quick wit, kind heart and sweet smile. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. We would like to thank Morada Lake Arlington Independent Living for making his last years some of his best times. In addition, we want to acknowledge Heart to Heart Hospice who have gone above and beyond to support dad and the family as he traveled his final journey.
Celebration of Life Service to be held Monday, November 25, 3:30pm at Arlington Community Church, 1715 W Randol Mill Road, Arlington, TX 76012. For those that would like too, wear your Texas Rangers attire.
John Leaves behind daughters Linda Roemer (husband David) and Brenda Dennehy Johnson. He will also be missed by grandchildren Stefanie (Andrew), Derek (Melanie), Austin, and Emily (Regan), great grandchildren Abel, Jackson, Ezra, Rueben, James, and Claire as well as his sister Mary Jo Humphries and many beloved nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in John's name to Arlington Community Church
