She worked at Bell Helicopter in the Accounting Departments for many years and after retiring from it ran JAM Company which did accounting and video games. She was very active in Arlington Women's Golf Association and was an accomplished golfer winning many tournaments. Golf was her passion. She especially enjoyed scoring for the PGA pros at Colonial and at the Byron Nelson which she did for close to 20 years. She was also an active member of the DeCordova Bend women's, Mid-Cities Women's and Surburban Ladies golf groups. She loved having her children, grand children and great grand children come and spend the day and swim at our house. She was in Iran with her husband when the government fell, and thoroughly enjoyed traveling but always came back to her roots in the DFW area.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin Warren Shugart and Rachel Viola Parker Shugart, her daughter Peggy Gillentine and grandson John Dean.
Family members who survived include: Husband, Wallace S. Martin III, Daughters, Pam Dean and Patty Cruz, Step Daughters, Kristin Martin and Maureen Ocampo, and many many many Grand Children and Great Grand Children, all whom were the loves of her life.
