Following high school, Jerry served in the US Army and the National Guard. He later attended North Eastern State University in Tahlequah, OK, earning a Bachelor’s degree. He made a career in Sales in the Wholesale Food industry.
Jerry loved to keep up with the news, read history, and fish with his friends. His greatest joy came from being a Peepaw to his grandsons and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Charles Ford and David Ford; and sisters Kay Daly and Doris Jean Ford.
He was survived by his wife of 35 years, Madeleine Ford; sons Scott Kersh and Stoney Kersh, Sr. (Diana); grandsons Stoney Kersh, Jr. and Dillan Kersh; great-grandchildren Ezra Kersh, John Kersh and MaryJane Couch; brother Billy Ford (Donna); sister Sharon Sadler (Steven); sister-in-law Patti Ford; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, May 17, at 11:00 a.m. in the Elmwood Cemetery in Wagoner, OK.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a memorial contribution to the American Cancer Society.
