Jennifer was born November 10, 1966 in Duncan, Oklahoma to Jack and Patricia Dee Hammond. She attended Duncan Public Schools and graduated in the top 10 of her class in 1985. While in high school, she was in the flag corps, played the saxophone, and won the state title in a piano competition.
After high school, Jennifer attended the University of Oklahoma where she played saxophone in the Pride of Oklahoma Marching Band. She also performed in the Orange Bowl for two consecutive years. She graduated with a degree in marketing in 1989 and went back later to graduate with a degree in accounting in 1992. As a result of her outstanding academic performance, she was inducted into the Beta Gamma Sigma business honor society.
While attending the University of Oklahoma, she met the love of her life, Larry Don Cullum. The two wed on August 12, 1989 and they moved to several states and finally settled in Grand Prairie, Texas in 1999. They welcomed their first son, Alexander Preston Cullum, on February 22, 2002 and their second son, Nathaniel Edward Cullum, on March 25, 2004.
Jennifer had a long and successful career as an accountant. She served numerous organizations throughout the years. Her last position was within education where she served as an accountant at Advantage Academy Charter Schools for the last ten years.
Jennifer was an active member at First Christian Church in Arlington. She greatly enjoyed being a member of their Hand Bell Choir, and serving as a deacon.
Jennifer was a dedicated and devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Jennifer was preceded in death by her father, Jack Hammond in 2005.
Survivors: husband, Larry Cullum; sons, Alexander and Nathaniel Cullum; mother, Patricia Hammond of Duncan, OK; sister, Jacquelyn Hammond Hay and husband, Stephen, of Wichita Falls; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and a loving church family.
Jennifer's memorial service will on Monday 1/17 at 3:00PM at the First Christian Church Arlington (910 S Collins St. Arlington, TX 76010). The memorial service will also be on the church's YouTube and Facebook live channels, for those who can't make it.
