Jeanne was born July 14, 1932, in Sydney, Neb., the only daughter of the late William and Virginia Raper. Jeanne graduated as an RN from West Nebraska Methodist Hospital School of Nursing in 1954. While in nursing school, she met the love of her life, Ralph Jordan, a handsome sergeant in the Air Force academy in Cheyenne, Wyo. They married Dec. 6, 1954.
Jeanne was a devoted wife and mother to their three daughters, Susan, Lisa and Linda. She was very active in many clubs and societies, including the Mayflower Society, Colonial Dames, the Huguenot Society, Magna Charta Dames, and was a past president of the DAR (just to name a few). She had an active social life and enjoyed playing bridge, reading, and studying God's Word.
She will be remembered as an intelligent, beautiful, witty, upbeat lady with a joyful spirit and infectious smile. She was a beloved mother whose memory will be cherished by her daughters and whose loss will be grieved by her family and many longtime friends.
In addition to her parents, William and Virginia Raper, Jeanne was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ralph Jordan; her beautiful daughter, Susan; and sister-in-law, Margaret Jordan-Ellis.
Survivors: She is survived by daughter, Lisa Lappe and husband, Todd; granddaughter, Courtney of Burleson; daughter, Linda Jordan and husband, Wes Ferris, of Arlington; brother, Michael Raper of Colorado; and numerous nieces and nephews.
