Janet Lee Pollard, age 65, a long-time resident of Arlington, passed away Monday, Feb. 2, 2015, after a short illness. Janet was born on Nov. 18, 1949 in Ardmore, OK, the middle child of three girls. She married Danny Pollard in 1978, and they recently celebrated their 37th anniversary. She was a wonderful mother to Brad Pollard, and grandmother to four grandchildren, whom she loved dearly.
Janet retired from American Airlines in 2006 after working 25 years as a supervisor in Consumer Relations. Janet and Danny loved to travel, and they collected wonderful memories traveling to many places overseas and close to home. She loved the outdoors, the sun and the water. She had numerous talents and hobbies, including gardening, needlework, and crossword puzzles. She was an avid fan of all sports and activities involving her son and grandchildren, and she will be greatly missed.
Janet is survived by her husband, Danny; son, Brad Pollard of Frisco; grandchildren, Hunter, Chase, Madison, and Alex Pollard; her parents Cliff and Helen Horbury; sister Donna Cariker and husband Jerry; sister Cindy Burch and husband Hans; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Feb. 7, 2015 at 10:00 AM at the Chapel at Moore Funeral Home, Arlington, TX, followed by a graveside service at the same location (Moore Memorial Gardens). Visitation for family and friends will be Friday, Feb. 6, 2015 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Moore Funeral Home.
