James Earl Robinson

James Earl Robinson, 66, of Burleson, Texas passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2016 in Fort Worth. Services will be at 10:00 am on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at Moore Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jeff Kimes of Cana Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Tomlin Family Cemetery in Arlington with Military Honors. Visitation will be Sunday, July 2, 2016 from 3:00 to 5:00 pm at Moore Funeral Home.

James was born July 16, 1949 in Fort Worth, Texas to Robert Earl Robinson and Joyce Nelson Robinson. James graduated from Eastern Hills High School in Fort Worth. He joined the United States Marine Corps in November, 1968 and served in the Vietnam War. He received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnamese Service Medal and Vietnamese Campaign Medal. He married Dorothy Paulette Rister on November 16, 1968 in Fort Worth, Texas. James spent most of his working years as an auto mechanic, and most recently worked as a supervisor at Sam’s Club in Erie, Pennsylvania. He was a member of Cana Baptist Church in Burleson. He enjoyed woodworking and fishing, but he especially enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and family.

Mr. Robinson was preceded in death by an infant son, Bryan Paul Robinson on September 21, 1971, by his mother, Joyce Robinson, on November 15, 2014 and by his father, Robert Robinson on August 22, 2002.

Survivors include his wife Paulette Robinson of Burleson, two children, James Brent Robinson and his wife Stephanie of Burleson, and Shelley Paulette Clark and her husband Robert of Grandview, TX, five grandchildren, Michael Robinson and his wife Brianna of Fairbanks AK., Chase Robinson of Burleson, Hunter Robinson of Pilot Point, Casie Kammerdiener of Burleson, and Katelyn Robinson of Burleson, and three sisters, JoAnn Black and her husband Lonnie of Arlington, TX, Debra Robinson of Arlington, TX, and Terry Roberts and her husband Jeff of Rockford, IL.
