Jim was born in Breckenridge to the late James Marvin McMichael and Lennie Ola Lathem McMichael on Jan. 4, 1923. He graduated from Marshall High School.
On Jan. 5, 1974, Jim married Veta Mae Angell. He worked as a machinist for LTV Corporation. Jim was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Arlington, Tarrant Masonic Lodge #942, and the Scottish Rite. Jim was a real outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Jim was preceded in death by his wife, Veta; and sister, Joyce Bedard.
Survivors: Those left to cherish his memories include his daughters, Florence Strother and husband, Don, and Mary Teague and husband, Duane; his sister, Bobbie Brinkley; and many other family members and friends.
