James D Harper Jr., 66, of Arlington, Texas passed away on December 28, 2016. Services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at Moore Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mike Benson officiating. Burial will follow in Moore Memorial Gardens. No public visitation is planned.
James was born August 7, 1950 in Temple, Texas to James Dixon Harper Sr. and Beulah V Harper. James worked in maintenance; he was an avid walker who loved people and his cats.
Mr. Harper was preceded in death by his mother, his best friend Beulah Grisset, one brother, James E. Vannatta, and by one sister, Barbara Jenkins.
Survivors include his father, James Harper Sr., siblings: Carol Vannatta, Bill Vannatta, Bettye Schwab, Noma Stinson, Sandy Schultz, Sheila Harper, Charlie Harper, Sherril Harper and a host of nieces and nephews.
