James Howard Farley, age 62, of Arlington, Texas passed away on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, in Mansfield, TX. He was born on September 9, 1962, in El Paso, TX to David Earl Farley and Velia Carreon Anderson. James was raised in Fort Worth, Texas and graduated from Eastern Hills High School in 1981.
James married his wife, Dawn Fosdick Farley, in 1989 and together they had two children, Erin and Collin. He was a wonderful husband and father to his wife and children and loved spending time with them. James and Dawn owned a business, First Restoration, Inc for nearly 26 years. James was very well respected in this industry as this was his true passion. He was loyal and trusted within this business. James took great pride in taking care of his customers and aspired for perfection.
He enjoyed playing the guitar and drums in his free time. He was part of multiple bands throughout his life. Not only did he enjoy playing, but he enjoyed listening to music and attending concerts. Most of all, James enjoyed spending his spare time with his family. His greatest title was Abuelo to his 17-month-old grandson, Corbin James.
His family and friends will miss him dearly and will always remember him as someone who was true to who he was and true to the people he allowed close to him. James was a loyal friend to many, business partner and family man.
James is preceded in death by His father, David Earl Farley, Stepfather, John Paul Anderson and Stepmother, Barbara Farley.
He is survived by his loving Wife of 35 years, Dawn Farley, Daughter, Erin Farley Coker (Lance); Son, Collin James Farley; Grandson, Corbin James Coker; Mother, Velia Anderson; Brothers, Leonard and Lester Farley, multiple sister and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A visitation for James will be held Tuesday, December 17, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a Rosary beginning at 7:00 PM at Moore Funeral Home, 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, TX 76012. A funeral mass will occur Wednesday, December 18, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St Jude Catholic Church, 500 E Dallas St, Mansfield, TX 76063.
