Although only 29, the impact James had on many people left behind a legacy of boldness, humor, and style. Those who knew James, even if not for very long, lost a shining light in their lives. James was deeply committed to his friendships often being there in anyone’s time of need.
James spent nearly all of his adult life honing his passion for the fine arts. After graduating from Timberview High School, he excelled in theatre at Tarrant County College and after earning his associates in art he moved on to University of Texas at Arlington. Many classmates considered it a privilege to have worked alongside such a talented actor in countless plays. James was also praised for his aptitude in music, playing both the piano and the cello, and understood that music was beyond the notes. A colleague and friend had this to say about him…
“To be present while James performed was such a unique experience. We were all used to the bubbly and bright side of James; the humorous James, always laughing with his big, beautiful smile. James with his cello was a different personality, more serious, focused, and meticulous. Always so much heart and presence in all that he did. I am so thankful to have had the opportunity to share the stage with James on occasion. What a Joy to create music alongside him.”
James was born in Las Vegas, Nevada to Elena Malone and Michael Delk. Besides his parents, he is survived by step parents Christa Delk and Roy Malone, his siblings Michelle Delk, Timothy Anadon, Zachary Anadon, Alexander Anadon, and Donald Ellis, his nieces Kaylee and Emily Anadon, and his nephews Benjamin Anadon and Leviticus James Derdzinski.
