Jacob Jonah Pham, 4, passed away on Saturday, November 5, 2011. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, November 12, 2011 at Trinity Baptist Church. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 11, 2011 from 5 pm to 8 pm at Moore Funeral Home, 1219 North Davis Drive in Arlington, Texas 76012. Memorials can be made to the Jacob Memorial Fund.
Jacob was born on April 16, 2007 in Arlington, Texas to Aimee and Toan Pham. Jacob went home to be with Jesus on November 5, 2011 at 2:50 pm at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center in Ohio. Jacob was diagnosed with a rare disease known as HLH (Hemophagocytic Lymphohistiocytosis) in June. Jacob had fought hard against his disease for five months. He was a strong and brave little boy, and had endured many days of chemotherapy and two stem-cell transplants.
Although Jacob was the youngest of the three boys, he didn’t let that prevent him from joining in and playing with his brothers. He just had to keep up with his two older brothers. For this, Jacob would get to play with the “big boy’ toys, such as Spiderman, Sonic, and Ben 10 Alien Action Figures. Jacob loved to color. He was a perfectionist and everything that he colored had to be perfect, or he wouldn’t be satisified. If Jacob happened to color outside of the lines, he would start all over again. He loved spending time with Grandpa Lang and loved to ride his tricycle around the neighborhood, and he would say hi to anyone who he passed along the way. Jacob was the epitome of a happy child, and from the time that he was born he seemed to posses a happy and content spirit.
Jacob was a handsome boy and intelligent beyond his years. He was sweet, charming, brave, strong, and loving. When Rachel, his younger sister, was old enough to take Jacob’s toys away to tease him, Jacob was never upset and was always willing to share his toys with his little sister.
Jacob was the apple of his Mommy’s eye and Mommy’s Little Handsome Boy.
When Mommy asked Jacob “Who is Mommy’s Handsome Boy, Sweet Boy, Smart Boy?” Jacob always said, “Me!”. Jacob would tell Mommy at least once a day that she was beautiful.
Jacob was very loved by his mother and father, Aimee and Toan. He is survived by his parents; Grandpa “Buddy” and Grandma; his two older brothers, Jeremiah and Isaac; his little sister, Rachel; all of his aunts and uncles; all of his great aunts and great uncles; and all of his many cousins.
