Dr. Jack Allan Gray, age 85 of Arlington, TX, passed away September 4, 2017. He was born on January 7, 1932 in Arlington, TX to Oscar and Elsie Gray. He graduated from Arlington High School in 1949. He married Louise Ahlin on February 26, 1954 in Wichita Falls, TX. They have been married for 63 wonderful years. He attended medical school at the University of Texas and graduated in 1956. He completed his residency in anesthesiology at the Dallas County Hospital District in 1959. He proudly served in the United States Army, serving as the Chief Anesthesiologist at the U.S. Army hospital in Fort Hood, TX. Dr. Gray was the first anesthesiologist in Arlington and worked at Arlington Memorial Hospital from 1961 to 1993. He loved his family, hunting and enjoyed flying.
Survivors include his wife Louise Gray, children, Gary Gray and wife Toni, Paul Gray and wife Kim, and Lisa McCoy and husband Glenn along with numerous grandchildren. He was preceded in death by son Allan Gray daughter Patricia “Cricket” Wilson and brother, Oscar S. Gray, Jr.
Visitation will be from 5-7pm on Sunday, September 10, 2017 at Moore Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be 2:00pm, Monday, September 11, 2017 at Trinity United Methodist Church, 1200 W. Green Oaks Blvd., Arlington, TX 76013.
