Ivan Leon Walker

Funeral: 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 30 at Moore Funeral Home, 1219 N. Davis Dr., Arlington, 76012, Interment: Moore Memorial Gardens. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 29, at Moore Funeral Home.

Ivan was born in Handley, TX August 18, 1926 to O.W. and Orene Walker and was raised in Everman. He married Luvenia Robertson on June 15, 1948 in Fort Worth. Ivan worked hard all his life; during his service in the Army, on the farm and dairy, as a lineman for Southwestern Bell Telephone, and as a custodian at Hommel Elementary in Everman. But much more than that, he was a faithful, Godly man who devoted his life to his Lord, his family, and to his many friends.

Ivan and Luvenia had 2 children, Carol Ann Walker Findley and David Leon Walker.

Ivan was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Luvenia; brother, Ray and great-granddaughter, Zoe.

Survivors: children, Carol (Pat) and David (Joellen); sisters, Laverne Gardner, Joyce Stevenson, and Pat Moore; grandchildren, Amy Richardson, Bret Denison, Matthew Findley, Leann Maxwell, and Natalie Argüello; and 8 great-grandchildren.
