Visitation: 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Monday at Moore Funeral Home, 1219 N. Davis Drive, Arlington. Interment: Private burial on Tuesday.
Isabelle was born on April 29, 1925, in Niagara Falls, N.Y. She was the third child of Raymond Sylvester and Janet Marquis Mains Smith. She was a lifelong member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, a church founded by her German ancestors. Isabelle was baptized, confirmed and married at Zion Lutheran. She was raised in Niagara Falls and graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1943 where she lettered in tennis and skating. Isabelle was a devoted wife of 56 years to Frederick Thomas Norbury, whom she married on April 27, 1946, when he returned from World War II. They resided in Canada and eventually returned to the United States. Together they were blessed with two children, Myra Elizabeth and Thomas Albert.
Isabelle enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family and friends in Canada and the U.S. Isabelle gave so much of herself taking care of family members when needed. When both the children moved to Texas in 1983, Isabelle and Fred built a beautiful home in Fairfield. Isabelle enjoyed her country lifestyle and was an avid sports fan. She will be dearly missed for her pleasant disposition, loving smile and quick wit.

She was predeceased by her husband, Frederick; brothers, William (Mary) and Marquis (Marjorie) Smith; brothers-in-law, Arthur Norbury and Henry Dunn; sister-in-laws, Margaret Roach (Arthur), Evelyn Loose (Irvin), Dorothy Embleton (Archie); two nephews; and several cousins.
Survivors: Daughter, Myra Harrison (Michael); son, Thomas Norbury (Mary); grandchildren, Teri Venezuela-Norbury (Tony), Sarah and Jacob Harrison; stepgrandchildren, Krissy Fales, Leslee George (Tim); sister-in-laws, Doris Norbury of Muskegon, Mich., and Marlene Dunn of Niagara Falls, Ontario; cousin, Norman Boise of Toronto, Ontario; special family, David Auld (Marjorie); several nieces and nephews in Canada and the U.S.
