Howard Lee McCarthy Jr.

Howard L. McCarthy, Jr., age 76 of Arlington, passed away on December 30, 2020. He was born on March 9, 1944 in Guymon, Oklahoma, the son of Howard L. McCarthy, Sr., and Chloe Violet Hill McCarthy. Howard and Patti Robertson celebrated 46 years together.

Howard received his associate’s degree in engineering from Arlington State. He then worked as a mechanical engineer for Bell Helicopter and LTV. Howard had a passion for fast cars, especially Corvette’s and NASCAR. In his spare time, he enjoyed spending time outdoors ensuring his yard was immaculate. His other passion was gambling. He loved going to the casino any time he could. He also loved to make people laugh and always helped others when he could.

Howard is survived by his wife, Patti Robertson; nieces and nephews Sandra Gail, Bobbie Jo, Philip, Sherri, Patty, Peggy, Vicki, Pam, and Gary; and many great nieces and nephews as well as cousins. Howard was preceded in death by both of his parents, sisters Patricia Miles and Jackie Meissner, brother Bobby McCarthy, nephews Gary Lee McCarthy and Jerry Dean Moore and niece Debbie Ann McCarthy-Jenkins.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Saturday, January 9 from 5:00-8:00pm at Moore Bowen Road Funeral Home, Arlington.
