Herb was born on July 31,1935, in Muenster, Texas. He and his wife, Ruby, moved to Arlington in 1961. He held various positions in business operations in both Fort Worth and Dallas. The majority of his career was spent with Bank of America where he held the position of Vice President of Banking Operations.
Herb retired in 1991 and moved to East Texas with his wife to devote their time to their love of fishing, boating, and lake life. In 1996 they moved back to Arlington to be closer to family.
Herb loved his dogs, watching sports, and was passionate about travel. He spent as much time as possible in his retirement years traveling the country with his wife, Ruby, and their furry friends in their RV. He enjoyed meeting new friends and loved to make people laugh.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Ruby; his daughter, Rhonda and her husband, Ted, their children, Jennifer and Jessica; son-in-law, Robert; along with great-grandchildren, Parker, Ella, Emory, and Leo; and son-in-law, Chris Stevens. His oldest daughter, Pam, preceded him in death in January of 2023.
A memorial mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Parish at 1927 SW Green Oaks Blvd, Arlington, TX, 76017, to remember and honor Herb.
