Gwendolyn Ann Sawyer, 87, of Arlington, was born on May 30, 1935 in Sherman, TX, to Russell Oscar and Mildred Sue Pietzsch, and passed away on December 26, 2022 in Arlington, Texas. She worked for Roadway Express in Irving for 25 years and active with the Rainbow Girls and Grand Prairie Women's Club.
Gwendolyn is survived by her children Suzanne Sylvester, William (Mary), and Don (Hong Nguyen); grandchildren Shannon Sawyer (Chris Jones), and Russell and Alyssa Sylvester. Gwendolyn was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 62 years, Tommy, and their son Greg Sawyer.
A memorial service for Gwendolyn will be held at CrossPoint Church of Christ in Grand Prairie, Texas at 10:00am Saturday, January 7, 2023. A private burial service will be held by the family at a later date.
