On January 23, 2022 our Lord called his faithful servant Gladys home. Her job here on earth was complete. She is now reunited with the love of her life Gail Gordon Johnson who preceded her in death in 1996.
Gladys was born on December 4, 1930 to Lawrence “Duke” Skinner and Mabel Bryan Skinner in Velasco, TX. She was an avid Texas Ranger and Dallas Cowboy sports fan and called each of her children prior to the games to remind them to tune in. She dedicated her life to being a supportive wife and raising four amazing children.
Gladys is survived by her children, Paul Johnson and his wife, Christina, of Issaquah, WA, Deirdre Coslow of Burleson, TX, James Johnson and his wife, Ronell, of Arlington, TX, and Bridget Johnson of Mansfield, TX. Gladys was the primary caregiver for Bridget until her passing day.; grandchildren, John Paul Johnson, Jesse Coslow and his wife, Jessica, Ashlee Rosser and her husband, Michael, and Kayla Wooten and her husband, Robert; great-grandchildren, Hailey Coslow, Jordon Rosser, Tyson Rosser, and MacKenzie Rosser. Gladys is also survived by a brother, Odis Skinner and his wife, Gwen, and a sister, Martha Tullos.
She is preceded in death by her sister, Iris Young and her husband, George; a brother-in-law, Lon Tullos; and son-in law Dickey Coslow.
A visitation for Gladys will be held Friday, February 11, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Moore Funeral Home, 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, TX 76012. A funeral service will occur Friday, February 11, 2022 at 11:00 AM, 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, TX 76012. A committal service will occur at Moore Memorial Gardens.
