Gerardo Najera

Gerardo Najera, of Arlington, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, September 16, 2020 in Fort Worth, Texas. He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, friend and colleague to all that knew and loved him.

He was born on October 3, 1969 in Durango, Mexico to Miguel Najera y Antonia Sifuentes. Gerardo went to school in Sauz de Abajo, San Juan del Rio, Durango. He moved to Texas at the age of 16 years old, and met his wife Bruna Gallegos in 1987. In 1990 they were married and have been married for 30 years and 4 months. Together they had three daughters. He was a hard working construction worker, who enjoyed family time, grilling fajitas accompanied with a beer, shooting and cleaning his guns. His pride and joy was always his family.

Gerardo is survived by his Father and Mother, Miguel, Antonia; wife for 30 years, Bruna; three daughters, Lizbeth, Esmeralda, and Alejandra; two granddaughters Serenity, Joy; two sisters, Maria Del Socorro and Maria Candelaria; and numerous of nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Hortencia Najera.

Gerardo Najera nació el 3 de Octubre de 1969 en Sauz de Abajo, Durango, México a sus padres, Miguel Najera y Antonia Sifuentes. Gerardo fue a la escuela en Sauz de Abajo, San Juan del Río, Durango. Se mudó a Texas a la edad de 16 años y conoció a su esposa Bruna Gallegos en 1987. Se casaron en 1990 y estuvieron casados por 30 años y 4 meses. Juntos tuvieron tres hijas. Era muy trabajador en la construcción. Disfrutaba del tiempo en familia, asando fajitas acompañado con su cerveza, siempre fue muy alegre escuchando musica, cariñoso y bromista, disparando y limpiando sus armas. Su orgullo y alegría siempre fue su familia.

Gerardo es sobrevivido por sus padres, Miguel y Antonia; esposa durante 30 años, Bruna; tres hijas, Lizbeth, Esmeralda y Alejandra; dos nietas Serenity y Joy; dos hermanas, María del Socorro y María Candelaria; numerosos sobrinas, sobrinos y primos.

Fue precedido por su hermana Hortencia Najera.
