Rene Peterson, age 72, passed away on February 23, 2024 in Kennedale, TX. She was born on February 9th, 1952 in Texarkana, AK to Norma and Gene Lockhart. Rene was raised in Arlington, TX, attending and graduating from Arlington High. She then went on to UTA Nursing School. She married Phil Hearn in 1971 who she had three beautiful children with, later in life she married Tom Peterson. She was a dedicated nurse at Methodist Dallas where she worked for more than thirty years.
In her spare time Rene enjoyed reading, planting flowers, making women beautiful with Mary Kay, painting her finger nails, and eating at Chuy’s with a delicious margarita.
Rene’s family and friends will always remember her as an excellent nursing preceptor, avid chicken foot player, and for making great homemade popcorn.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Tom Peterson; Bill and Norma Melton; parents, Gene Lockhart and Lorrie Lockhart.
Left to cherish her memory her children; Josh Hearn, Christina Gardner, Ashley Hearn; Grandchildren Laney, Declan, and Liam; brothers, Steve Lockhart, Shane Melton.
