Garry Dean McGee

Garry was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Lynn and Margie Chastain, paternal grandparents Dean and Jean McGee and Uncle Donnie Chastain.

He is survived by his loving wife Ryan McGee and his mother, Sandy Cobb and her husband Charles “Bud” Cobb of Glen Rose; and father Randal McGee and wife Tracy McGee of Chandler, Texas, sisters Nicole McGee of Athens, Texas, nephews Aydon, Jaydon, and Andrew. Sarah Henson and niece Lauren, of Chandler, Texas, Tori McGraw and husband Cody, niece Zoey of Cleburne, Texas, and brother Lucas Cobb of Athens, Texas as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Garry was a loving husband to Ryan McGee of Arlington, Texas and a wonderful father to Natalie and Vivian. Garry was raised in Athens, Texas. He graduated from North Lamar High School in 2004 then later joined the Army. Garry met his wife, Ryan and daughter Natalie in 2016. The two shared a beautiful baby girl, Vivian, who made his heart melt. Garry was the most tender hearted person, knowing him was a blessing. Garry was known to be the life of the party. He was always smiling and laughing and enjoyed making others do the same. Garry was fun, fearless, and always willing to try something new.

At the time of his death, Garry worked for Apollo Wrecker Service. He loved his family and his job, never shying away from hard work. He is deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral services will begin at 1:00 pm on Saturday, September 11th in the chapel of Moore Bowen Road Funeral Home, 4216 S. Bowen Road, Arlington, Texas 76016. Honorary pallbearers will be Apollo Wrecker Services. Following the service there will be a “Final Ride” for Garry by numerous wrecker services.
