He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 34 years, Fumiko Anderson. Andy, as he was know to friends, served 20 years in the United States Marine Corp and proudly served in the Viet Nam conflict. He also worked for15 years for the City of Arlington where his coworkers gave him the nickname "Grumpy Old Goat."
He is survived by son Fred Anderson, daughter-in-law Sharon Anderson, grandchildren Miko and Alex Anderson, daughter Donna Gates, son-in-law Tim Gates, grandchildren Ryan Schmidt and T.J. and Kennedy Gates. He is also survived by sister Nellie Vangsness, brother Larry Anderson and brother MarkAnderson. Interment will be Monday, December 21, at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Autism Speaks.
