Freddie Phipps was born in the small town of Lucasville, Ohio in 1934, and peacefully departed this world on the morning of June 10th, 2021 in Arlington, Texas.
The journey from Ohio to Texas over 87 years was shared with 12 siblings, and all, were the proud and loving families that stemmed from his departed parents, Lester and Bertie Phipps. Freddie was a Navy veteran who served his country for 21 years of active duty and several as a reservist after retirement. He loved black coffee, his retired Navy hat, and his family and friends -- maybe in that order. He will be missed dearly by all who knew him.
Freddie is survived by his loving wife Debbie, son Jason, sisters Felsie, Judy, Margie, Brother Scott, sister in law Barbie as well as numerous nieces and nephews. His visitation & funeral service will take place on Thursday, June 17th at 1 PM at Moore Bowen Road Funeral Home. His burial will take place on Wednesday, June 23rd at 10 AM at DFW National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Road, Dallas, Texas 75236.
