Freddie Royce Calhoun, age 84 of Arlington, passed away peacefully on December 10, 2017. He was born on February 26, 1933 in Athens, Texas, the son of Johnnie Calhoun and Leola Tanner Calhoun. Freddie worked for over 35 years for LTV and a hydraulic expert. In his spare time, he enjoyed tinkering and building things, working on cars, especially his Fords, and playing the harmonica.
Freddie is survived by his children Angie Barolet and husband Charles, Ricky Calhoun and wife Patricia, Deborah Calhoun, and Wesley Calhoun and wife Julia; sisters Nelda Calhoun and Pam Calhoun. Freddie was preceded in death by his parents, wife Thelma Mae (Crawford) Calhoun, brother Billy Calhoun, and sister Jean Nesbitt.
Visitation will be Friday, December 15 from 10-11am, with funeral services beginning at 11am at Moore Bowen Road Funeral Home. Interment and military honors will follow at Parkdale Cemetery, Arlington.
