Born in Champaign, Illinois to Clarence and Alta Thompson on October 9, 1021, Freda went on to graduate from Philo High School in Philo, Illinois and received her licensed practical nurse degree.
On December 8, 1940, she married Chester Sundermeyer. Throughout her career, Freda worked in skilled nursing facilities and provided care to many. During her free time, she enjoyed traveling, painting, bowling, as well as playing cards and dominos.
She is survived by her son Ron Sundermeyer of Garland, Texas, daughters Beverly Cullison (Lyle) of Braidwood, Illinois and Belinda Stamps of Terrell, Texas, grandchildren Ronny Stamps of Terrell, Texas and Alyssa Stamps of Irving, Texas, and great granddaughter Pha Stamps.
A memorial service will be held at Moore Funeral Home, 1219 N. Davis Drive, Arlington, Texas 76012, at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 31, 2019.
