Eva (Joycelyn) McDaniel

Joycelyn was born November 14, 1934 in San Saba, Texas to Haskell and Ruby Brown. She married Joe Bob McDaniel on November 7, 1954 while he was in the service in El Paso, Texas. In 1955, the couple moved to Arlington, Texas where Joycelyn was a stay at home mom until her children got out of school, though she kept busy being involved with the PTA. In 1973, Joycelyn received the PTA Life Membership reward. Later, in 2009, she went on to received the Volunteer PTA Extended Life Membership.

Joycelyn also volunteered at Arlington Memorial hospital and sold Avon cosmetics for 25 years. She also worked for an engineer company from which she retired in 1997. During retirement, she volunteered at Larson Elementary for 15 years. Joycelyn loved reading, traveling, her flowers, and music, but she loved her family most of all.

Joycelyn is preceded in death by her husband, Joe Bob. She is survived by her sister, Sue Laine; her children: Mike, Sharon, and Greg (Kathy); her grandchildren: Taylor (Adrianna), Mallory (Trey), Kacie, and Kayleigh; her great grandchildren: KaMari, KaLeah, Layla, and Jaxon, Hannah, and Kendal; and numerous nieces & nephews.

A visitation for Joycelyn will be held from 10:00-11:00am on Saturday, August 6, 2022 in the North Chapel of Moore Funeral Home. A funeral service will occur at 11:00am on Saturday, August 6, 2022 in the North Chapel of Moore Funeral Home. Burial will immediately follow in Moore Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations can be made to Arthritis Foundation in Joycelyn's name.
