Eva Anna (Fortier) Andrews passed into the arms of our Lord Jesus on the 13th day of April 2018 at MCA Hospital in Arlington, Texas. She was born on the 2nd day of March 1920 in Whitman, Massachusetts to Cyril Fortier and Eva M. Ouimette.
Eva grew up in Massachusetts and graduated from Brockton High School in 1939. After high school she moved to Stratford, Connecticut to live with her cousin Ann.
Eva married Warren Harding Andrews in 1943 in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Warren was employed with Chance Vought Aircraft and they moved to Arlington, Texas in 1950 with his work. It was here that Eva was a successful homemaker raising her children, and they were happily married for 42 years. Eva was a member of the Catholic church growing up, and was a volunteer for several charitable organizations. In retirement she loved to travel and take cruises with family and friends.
Eva was preceded in death by her husband Warren in 1986, and her brother Leo.
Eva is survived by her children Karen J.Hejl of Coppell, Texas; John W. Andrews of Rockport, Texas; and Kim A. Murphy (Brian) of Arlington, Texas. She has two grandchildren; Stacey Kokinda of Arlington, and David Hejl (Jennifer) of Houston. She has four great-grandchildren; Jordyn and Kamryn Kokinda of Arlington, and Nicholas and Katherine Hejl of Houston.
A memorial service and celebration of life will be held at Moore Funeral Home, 1219 North Davis Dr. in Arlington, Texas at 2:00pm on April 25th 2018 followed by a reception at the Chapel. There will be an additional celebration of life in Massachusetts at a later date.
