ARLINGTON-Ernest Daniel Villegas JR., 33, passed away on June 5, 2012 in Mansfield. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at 2 PM at The Church on Rush Creek, 2350 SW Green Oaks Blvd in Arlington. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Irving. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 8, 2012 from 6-8 PM at Moore Bowen Funeral Home, 4216 S. Bowen Road in Arlington. He is survived by his wife Nicki; daughter, Kalyn; sons, Kash and Kanon;
parents, Ernie Sr. and Marcia Villegas; 5 brothers; and numerous family and friends who’s lives he has touched. He had a big heart and cared for everyone in his life. He loved spending time with family and friends. Had a passion for fishing, bowling, golf and enjoyed being outdoors. After graduation from Irving High in 1997, he was drafted by the NY Yankees but went on to play at NE Community College. His journey led him to be drafted by the TX Rangers in the 14th round where he played pro ball for 4 years before retiring in 2002. He has joined his mother Nan in heaven and will be greatly missed.
