Elsa spent countless hours at Cook Children’s Hospital in Ft Worth caring for her daughter, Monica. Her caring attitude and ability to connect with the staff was recognized by hospital administration that led to a sixteen year career in the Physical Therapy Scheduling Department. During that time, she quickly became an asset to the hospital by connecting with families while exhibiting an exceptional understanding and compassion for children and their parents.
During the past few years, Elsa was employed by the Arlington Independent School District as a substitute teacher giving her the opportunity to return to her first love - teaching children. She became a mentor to the teachers who she came in contact with on her various teaching assignments. She was always quick and willing to help teachers with their teaching assignments giving them encouragement and being a positive role model. Elsa’s contagious enthusiasm for teaching children and her gentle guidance and wisdom will be missed but forever treasured by many especially the children who she loved and the teachers she worked with.
