Eleanor "Lou" Louise Savage

Eleanor Louise Savage affectionately known as, “Lou”, was born to the parents of Floyd Clark (deceased) and Maggie Scott (deceased) on June 25, 1937 in Bessemer, Alabama. She later moved to Whipple, West Virginia and graduated from DuBois High School in 1956. After graduation, Lou left for the "Big Apple" New York City, where she worked at the Veterans Hospital, Manhattan, New York as a Registered Nurse for 10 years. She would later marry the love of her life and our father; Jerry Ray Savage in 1963 (Deceased).

In 1978, Louise moved to New Jersey with six children to begin the next chapter of her life. Lou attended Bethel A.M.E church in Freehold, New Jersey. Lou loved the lord and could quote verbatim any scripture in the Holy Bible. Lou was a sweet, and beautiful caring mother. She had a kind heart and a warm loving spirit that would illuminate the room, with a big beautiful smile. Our mother showed love and compassion to everyone she encountered. She enjoyed life, spending time with her family and always sat in her favorite chair just smiling. Lou loved all of her children with all of her heart. She was and is the best mother anyone could ask for. Mom did the best she could with what we had.

Lou was a stickler for washing your hands, and taking your “Vitamin C”. Growing up as kids, into our young adulthood we were never sick because she gave us “Vitamin C” every day and Cod Liver Oil. If Lou didn’t see you wash your hands, she would repeat it again “wash your hands” to ensure that you washed them so she could see you. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, eating at different restaurants, and watching her favorite TV shows; Judge Judy, Family Matters, Price is Right, Family Feud, and on the weekends she watched her favorite channel, Joel Osteen Ministries and Lifetime Movie Network.

Louise leaves in loving memory her sister Floretta Dozier (deceased) her children, Darren Savage (Deceased), Anthony Savage (New Jersey), Stanley Savage (Joy ) New Jersey, Renee’ K. Savage- Williams (Andre) Texas, Regina Savage-Joel (Al) Maryland, Angela Savage (deceased), Jerry Ray Savage (Cheryl), New Jersey, Darrel Adams (Florida), Ronnie Savage (Florida), Ronald Savage (deceased), Jerry Savage (Florida), Wayne Adams (Florida), Christian Savage (New York), 1 nephew Troy Dozier, New Jersey 8 great grandchildren: Jaremy Savage, Stacey Savage, Jewels Edwards, Isahiah Littrean, Amanda Savage, Rhianna Savage, Anthony Savage Jr., Aaron Savage, Nigel Savage, Sevyn Savage and a host of cousins and friends.
