Following her graduation from Happy High School, Edna Earle traveled to California to help the war effort. She had to gain 10 pounds in order to be hired as a plumber on a ship in San Diego. She was always proud of her work as a Rosie the Riveter. She and Alvin volunteered at Arlington Memorial Hospital for many years where Edna Earle worked in the gift shop. She enjoyed her Friday night games of 84 with her loyal group of friends, and she was a master shopper. Her happiest times were spent with her grandkids and great-grandkids.
Edna Earle was preceded in death by her husband Alvin M. Smith and daughter Lisa Witt. She is survived by her daughter Nancy (Paul) Munger; sons Frank (Jan) Smith and Alvin (Joan) Smith; grandchildren Lauren Munger, Larissa Swayne, Ashley Brown, Elise Smith, Leah Easton, AJ Smith and Jesse Witt; seven great-grandchildren; and her beloved cat, Missy.
