Dorothy Mae Colburn

Dorothy Mae Colburn, age 97, of Arlington, TX passed from this life on August 27, 2022. She was born in Olden, TX on February 25, 1925 to Bud and Mealy Colburn. She attended school in Olden and moved to Arlington in 1943. She worked at several different jobs before going to work at Herman’s Men Shop where she worked for 46 years. Retiring in 2005 to stay home and enjoy her two dogs, Mickey and Abigail. All her life she was a lover of animals. Her prayer every day was, “Lord please make me the kind person my dogs’ think I am!”

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert F. Colburn and Mealy Mae (Adams) Colburn, brother Robert V. Colburn, sister-in-law Emma K. Colburn.

She is survived by her nephews, Robert (Mary) and Brian (Debbie); several great nephews and nieces, sister-in-law Emma, and her extended family of the Herman’s and friends.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, September 8, 2022 at Moore Memorial Gardens, 1219 N. Davis Drive, Arlington, TX 76012.
