Donald Edward Troup

Services will be 10:00 am, Monday, March 10, 2014 at Moore Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Moore Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation Sunday 2:00 to 4:00 pm at Moore Funeral Home Chapel.

Don was born to the late Elmer and Mable Troup, April 26, 1938, in Warren, OH. Don graduated from Lake Worth High School in Ft. Worth, TX in 1956 and received a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from the University of Texas Austin in 1962. Don was married to Melba Joyce Troup for 55 years.

Don was a Pharmacist for 50 years and retired in 2012. He worked at Town North Pharmacy in Arlington for 13 years, St. Joseph Hospital in Ft. Worth for 13 years and TX Living Care Pharmacy in Ft. Worth.

Don was an active member of Lamar Baptist Church in Arlington and served as a Deacon.

Don is survived by his wife, Melba Troup and his two siblings: Janet Smith and Tom Troup. He is also survived by three sons: David and Alison Troup, of North Richland Hills; Alan and Karen Troup, of Wichita Falls; and Walter and Karen Troup, of North Richland Hills. He is also survived by seven grandchildren: Cory; Jordan; Joshua; Emily; Emma; Austin; Sadie; and one great-granddaughter Mia.
