Donald A Rogers from Grapevine Texas, passed away suddenly Tuesday, November 5th at the age of 79 years old due to a massive heart attack and stroke. He was born February 29th, 1934. Donald is preceded in death by his father Arlin, mother Loreen Rogers, son’s Jeffrey Rogers and Gary Clark Rogers, and sister Betty Rogers Moffat.
He is survived by his son Randall Rogers and wife Susan and son Terry Rogers and his wife Monika, grandchildren Brandon, Jacob, Ryan, Carly, Chalee, Aaron, and 10 great grandchildren.
He is also survived by his two brothers Jimmy and Charles Rogers.
He graduated from Grapevine High School at the age of 16, and was a senior at Baylor University at the age of 19, and graduated from the Baptist Seminary at the age of 21. He retired from the Iron Workers Union local 263 in Ft Worth and in his retirement years spent 8 years as the editor of the newspaper in Sweetwater Texas. An accomplished novelist he published two novels and was working on his third. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him.
