Donald McQueen Fraser, age 97, of Arlington, Texas passed away on Tuesday, November 1, 2022.
Visitation for Donald will be held Monday, November 14, 2022 from 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM @ Moore Funeral Home, 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, TX 76012.
Donald M. (Don) Fraser passed away November 1st, 2022 in Arlington, Texas76013. He had been a beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Great Grandfather. He was born on September 18, 1925 in Sumter, South Carolina to Mattie and William De Lorm Fraser. He had two sisters, Mattie Lou and Louise, one brother, Thomas Delorm Fraser.
Following America’s entry in WW II, Don enlisted in the United States Navy. He served on the USS RANDOLPH aircraft carrier. He served in different squadrons in the South Pacific for eighteen months and on several land bases. He was called back into service during the North Korean conflict. Once he completed duty, he attended Atlanta Law College and attained his LLB degree. It was during this time met Majorie Cook who became his wife on July 10, 1951. From this union, they had three daughters: Donna, Diana, and Denise.
Don was employed by IBM as an Engineer-Sales representative for 13 years before going into Aerospace with North American in Los Angeles and then accepted a position with LTV Corps Dallas, managing motivational programs, before retiring in 1987.
Don and Margie were Charter Members of the New World United Methodist Church in Arlington. They enjoyed many years of travel in the United States and abroad. Don and Margie enjoyed Ballroom, Square, and Round dancing and maintaining their home.
Don was preceded in death by his beloved Margie, Father, Mother, two sisters, and a brother. He had a good life and was thankful for every day.
Committal service with Navy Honors will occur Monday, November 14, 2022 from 3:00 PM at Moore Memorial Gardens, 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, TX 76012.
